Ant's Hill

Ant’s Hill is an indescribable oasis. Upon your arrival, relax and enjoy the breathtaking view. The luxury lodge is built on a rocky ride, amongst dense vegetation, directly on a waterfall. From the numerous terraces of the lodge you will have a beautiful view over the entire malaria-free Waterberg region.

The animal observations on horseback are particularly spectacular—no matter which level of horseback riding experience you have! The animals live together with the African wildlife for a unique and up-close experience.

Ant’s Hill is run by a loving staff who guarantee an open and friendly atmosphere. The owners, Tessa and Ant, have built the luxury lodge on the crest of a rock, giving a breathtaking view of the picturesque landscape. With its generous rooms and thatched roofs, the lodge blends perfectly with the surrounding nature.

The main lodge boasts a spacious living area and dining room, both with fireplaces. A large veranda and deck overhang the gorge, ideal for early morning breakfasts and evening sundowners. To top it all, Ant’s Hill overlooks a waterhole frequented by a variety of game.

At the edge of the rock, the pool spills over the edge of the ravine and invites you to linger for hours. There is also a fitness center, a souvenir shop and laundry service.

Ant’s Hill is also a true paradise for children of all ages! The children can either accompany their parents during their activities or take part in programs specially organized for them, from safaris to pony riding.

Ant’s Hill offers accommodation for a maximum of 12 guests and is therefore perfect for an undisturbed stay or family holiday. The complex has 2 privately owned honeymoon cottages, a family cottage with a parent’s room and 2 children’s rooms (each with 2 single beds), and a 2-bed cottage with a private veranda located above the main building. The cottages are cozy and tastefully decorated and have a bathroom with a bathtub, terrace and beautiful wood flooring.

On request, you can book massages on site that can be enjoyed in front of the fantastic view at the pool or in the comfort of your cottage.

Come and discover the exciting safaris that Ant’s Hill is known for! From horseback, both experienced riders and beginners can experience the diverse and magical nature of the Waterberg up close and personal! With advice from a guide, you can choose one of the 80 horses to ride. For children, friendly ponies are available for the rides.

Other safari options at Ant’s Hill are guided hikes, where your guide teaches you about the local flora and fauna, as well as adventurous mountain biking tours across the terrain.
