Borgo Egnazia

The house opened in June 2010 not far from the small port town of Savelletri. The nearby Roman city of Egnatia gave the five-star resort its name. Borgo Egnazia is located in the heart of Puglia, halfway between the cities of Bari to the north and Brindisi to the south.The property is surrounded by olive groves - some trees are among the oldest in the world. Attractions such as Castel del Monte near Bari, the baroque pearl of Lecce, or the charming towns of Alberobello, Cisternino and Ostuni in the picturesque Itria Valley are within easy reach by car.

The international airport of Bari can be reached by car in about 60 minutes, the airport of Brindisi is about 40 minutes away.

The five-star golf and spa resort Borgo Egnazia is the jewel of San Domenico Hotels, a small group of four boutique hotels in Puglia and London.

The luxury resort is modeled after an Apulian village, thus combining the traditional flair of Puglia with the most modern luxury. The soft colors of the local sandstone from which the houses are built are also reflected in the interior design. In La Corte, the main house of the property, there are 63 suites and rooms. General amenities include a large bathtub, separate shower, in-room safe, flat-screen satellite TV and Wi-Fi in all rooms. Depending on your preference, a king-size or twin bed is available.

The Borgo is modeled after a typical Apulian village. The townhouses there, each with two bedrooms, are set around a central piazza. A child-friendly pool, kids club, and pasta restaurant are around the corner, making this part perfect for families.

The pride of Borgo Egnazia are the 28 villas with panaroma balconies, set amid beautiful gardens with centuries-old olive trees. From the private terrace, guests have a magnificent view of the Adriatic coast. A highlight are the huge private pools of up to 100 square meters. All villas have a fully equipped kitchen, where you can also be pampered by a private chef culinary. In addition, a private butler and a nanny are available upon request.

Room types in La Corte: Superior La Corte Bella (approx. 33 sqm), Deluxe La Corte Splendida (approx. 40 sqm), Suite La Corte Magnifica (approx. 60 sqm) are located in the main building and are equipped with bath/WC (with hairdryer, slippers), air conditioning, heating, satellite TV, telephone, Internet access (no charge), minibar, safe, balcony or terrace and some with sea view.

Types of accommodation in the Borgo: Junior Suite Borgo Splendida (approx. 42 sqm), Suite Borgo Magnifica (approx. 55 sqm) are equipped like the Superior rooms additionally with inner garden on the ground floor or with balcony and partly sea view on the 1st floor. Casetta Bella/Casetta Splendida (approx. 60/90 sqm) on 2 floors, with living/bedroom with sofa bed as well as 1 bedroom, kitchenette and with inner garden and roof terrace. Casetta Magnifica (approx. 90 sqm) 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, otherwise like Casetta BellaVillas (approx. 250 sqm) additionally with private pool and private garden.

Borgo Egnazia offers wellness and beauty with a clear commitment to the environment in its Vair Spa on around 1,800 square meters. Traditional relaxation methods and local products from the nearby sea and the surrounding olive and citrus groves of the fertile Valle d'Itria form the basis for a unique concept. The spa works exclusively with organic products and natural oils.

The Vair Spa extends over two floors and has 10 treatment rooms, a spa suite with garden and steam room, a social suite for manicures and pedicures, an infusion bar and a heated indoor pool. The "Iyenghar" yoga studio, a hair salon, a fitness area, a floatation room and a "barber store" complete the facilities. The centerpiece is the wet area on the lower floor, modeled after the bathhouses of ancient Rome with tepidarium (heat room), caldarium (heat room) and frigidarium (cold room). An Apulian sauna (with sea salt and basil) and a Roman-Apulian signature treatment, revive ancient traditions of relaxation.

You can reach the public sandy beach with beach bar with the free shuttle service. Another access to the sea is just in front of the hotel.
