In the morning, start in a group on the sailing ship towards Michaelmas Cay. This sand island on the reef is home to numerous rare waterfowl, turtles and colorful reef fish. The sea turtles even come to the island to breed here occasionally. The island itself is a national park and also considered one of the main breeding grounds for thousands of seabirds on the Great Barrier Reef. The reef around the paradisiacal island is especially known for the large abundance of giant clams. Tea is served in the mornings and afternoons. A delicious tropical lunch snack is also included on the tour. In addition to a presentation by a marine biologist with everything you need to know about the island, you can of course grab the gear on board and go snorkeling - all in one absolutely worthwhile trip!
