About your experience

Take-off is high above the Kawarau River - this was the setting for the Anduin River. Then you will fly to Mount Aspiring - do the landscapes from the second part of the Lord of the Rings trilogy look familiar? The area around Mount Earnslaw was also the setting for Lothlórien. This is where the companions Galandriel and Celeborn met and where the Battle of Amon took place, in which Boromir was defeated. Can you remember the scene where Saruman meets Gandalf in Isengard and is then captured in the tower? After you land in Glenorchy, your pilot will tell you to what extent Glenorchy Air was involved in the shooting of the film. Then you will take off again and fly towards Greenstone Valley - the setting of Dunharrow. After another 10-minute flight, you will see the Mavora Lakes from the air. Here Sam and Frodo paddled over the Nen Hithoel lake.

The experience will surely linger in your memory for years to come.
