Half day boat tour on the Grey Lake

The name of the lake comes from the fresh water's cloudiness, caused by the silt that the glacier transports into the lake. Huge ice colossi plunge here with a deafening roar into the water. The gigantic glacier has a length of over 15 miles and a width of up to 3.72 miles. The light blue ice piles up to 98 feet in height.

From the hotel, a bus will transport you to the vicinity of the lake. The tour continues over a suspension bridge and another 10-minute walk to the boat's landing stage. Then it's time to ride along the shimmering blue lake. Condors glide on the back of the wind above your boat. Icebergs in the strangest shapes float in the water to the left and right. Don't forget to wear warm clothing! But we promise you that the sight of the azure blue will make you forget all about the cold and everything else. The massive ice colossus is often lit by the sun in the most wonderful shades of blue.

With potentially disheveled hair, you will return to land. Now, how about a sip of the national drink, Pisco Sour? Or maybe a local beer, like the Cerveza Austral? The choice is up to you. Either way, it's a perfect (and optional) way to wrap up today's experience.

This group boat tour begins and ends at Hotel Lago Grey. Spanish and English-speaking tour guides will accompany you on this 4-hours experience.

• This is a guided group tour. You will be accompanied by a Spanish and English speaking tour guide.
• Between November and February, there isn’t a minimum number of participants. The rest of the year, the minimum number of participants required is 15.
• There are four departures per day.
