The luxurious Stella Australis will take you on a personal adventure past Patagonia’s remarkable glaciers, dreamy fjords, and untouched forests. Sail on the rough ocean toward the edge of the world.
In the evening, you will reach the port city of Punta Arenas. We will let you know what time check-in begins closer to the date. Embarkation takes place from 17:30.
After a warm welcome and introduction from the captain and crew of the luxury cruise ship, it’s time to “cast off.” Unpack your suitcase and end the first evening with a delicious first-class dinner.

Today’s adventure will lead you along the northeastern arm of the Beagle Channel to Pia Bay. Hop into one of the cruise’s rubber dinghy (also known as a Zodiac) for an expedition to see the breathtaking Pia Glacier up close from the shore.
From here, hike to a lookout point that offers unforgettable views of the fjord and glacier.
In the afternoon, enjoy a ride through the spectacular glacier avenue. In 1.5 hours, you will already observe five glaciers — notice how fascinating the glaciers push down from the Darwin Cordillera mountain range and to the Beagle Channel’s sea.

Rise and shine onboard the Stell Australis and start the day replenished with a delicious breakfast.
Today’s highlights include crossing the Murray Canal and reaching the southernmost tip of the South American continent, the Cape Horn National Park on the Chilean Isla Hornos.
It’s usually stormy and freezy cold because its location is in the stormiest corner of the world. It’s where the Pacific and Atlantic meet in front of Cape Horn’s 425-meter-high rocky spire. Wrapped up warmly in thick clothes, you will disembark the ship and discover the so-called “end of the world!”
Only part one of your adventures is complete! Head back on board where you can warm back up and eat a snack before disembarking again.
Part two of today’s experience is a visit to the tranquil Wulaia Bay. Hike through the Magellanic Forest’s diverse fauna until you reach a jaw-dropping lookout point. Relish the snow-capped peaks, fascinating mountain ranges, and a fantastic view of the ocean: a paradise for nature lovers and explorers!
The crisp morning air greets you aboard the Stella Australis. While you sail through the Cockburn Canal to get to the Agostini Fjord, enjoy the beautiful views of the imposing peaks and Darwin Cordillera glaciers.
Once you arrive close enough to the land in the early afternoon, the Zodiac will take you to shore for an excursion to the Águila Glacier. Surrounded by magnificent mountains, your jaw will drop as you reach the front of the majestic glacier. While you enjoy the pristine nature, learn exciting information about the glacier and the surrounding flora and fauna.
During dinner, the cruise will continue its journey to your next expedition destination.

Early in the morning, you will reach the entrance to Parry Fjord. This long and narrow fjord leads deep into the Darwin Cordillera’s glacier world by water. The impressive glaciers surround you in the high mountains, which sometimes push themselves into the fjord’s waters. At the end of the fjord, embark on another Zodiac expedition and go on a tour through the majestic glaciers.
As you make your way to another shore, soak in the stunning glacier world and keep your eyes peeled for the rare leopard seals. Your next expedition is Ainsworth Bay. The hike will take you through the sub-Antarctic Magellan Forest, past a peat bog, and to a hidden waterfall.

Before you know it, the last day of your trip is already here. In the early morning, you will continue your journey to Isla Magdalena and enjoy a stroll through the native Magellanic penguin colony. An incredible 120,000 penguins call this home. Observe the friendly animals in different brood stages and go up to the small lighthouse that once showed the way for explorers through the Strait of Magellan.
Since the penguins already migrated in April, you can alternatively head for Isla Marta. The rubber dinghy will take you to the front of the island, where you can watch a colony of South American sea lions.
Afterward, return to your cruise ship and continue north to Punta Arenas, where you will disembark. Are you happy with all of the stunning photos and unforgettable memories you’ve collected these past days?

The luxury cruise ship has 100 spacious 16 m² cabins, offering enough space for a maximum of 210 passengers. All rooms include two single beds or one double bed, a desk, air conditioning, a telephone, and a private bathroom. The cozy lounge invites you to relax and meet guests from around the world. At the onboard restaurant, you can indulge your taste buds with oysters, king crabs, and an excellent selection of Chilean wines.
