Come adventure to Africa's pearl! The country's abundance of flora, exquisite wildlife, and incomparable hospitality are just a few reasons why Uganda is the pearl of Africa. In Uganda, adventures of all types are waiting for you! It’s the perfect trip for adrenaline fanatics and African safari lovers.
Uganda has a balanced climate despite its location on the equator. Temperatures are between 16 and 28°C. However, December to February and June to September are the driest months. The dry season in Uganda doesn't mean that there's no rain, but rather half as much rainfall than in the rainy season. The months of April and May have the highest rainfall of the year.
Welcome to Entebbe, the former capital of Uganda. Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your guide will greet you and take you to your guesthouse, which is about 15 to 40 minutes away, depending on traffic. Take a deep breath and enjoy the new scents that surround you. Uganda is full of adrenaline-packed adventure, endless savannahs, and boundless opportunities! Discover the endangered mountain gorillas, chimpanzees, tree-climbing lions, and the Murchison Falls during Uganda’s famous gorilla trek.

One night at The Boma Guesthouse**** or Karibu Guesthouse**** with breakfast in a standard room, Entebbe, Uganda
Today, you will drive to Jinja early in the morning because it's the perfect starting point for all of the different adventures offered in Uganda. Lake Victoria is the starting point of the Nile River's long journey to the Mediterranean, a paradise for any adventurer, and the perfect place to enjoy spectacular sunsets against the impressive river landscapes. Jinja is a few kilometers downriver from "The Spring." This spring is where the Nile begins its 6,300-kilometer journey to the Mediterranean and divides into many channels. For many generations, Budhagali has been a sacred site for the Busoga people and a place where you will see traditional healers. Others also come to the riverbanks to make sacrifices for the holy spirits who live by the river.
In Jinja, you will also visit the Nile (included) and the place where Speke became the first European to see the Nile Spring in 1862. If time permits, drive through the town of Jinja! Jinja is the adrenaline capital of East Africa, offering optional activities include fishing, bungee jumping, quad biking, boat trips, a nostalgic African Queen Cruise, or kayaking.
Travel time Entebbe - Jinja: about 2-3 hours / approx. 50 km
Two nights at 2 Friends Guest House*** with half board in a standard room, Jinja, Uganda
Wake up early for another adventurous day! Cruise over the Nile River’s world-famous rapids on a half-day white water rafting tour or dive off a bridge during a bungee jumping experience above the Nile. The choice is up to you!
White water rafting is one of Uganda's popular activities. Our partnership with only the best rafting companies guarantees excellent safety regulations. The experience includes modern safety equipment and plenty of time to practice your maneuvers before head off into the water. The breathtaking experience is captured on camera and filmed by kayaks paddling next to you! You can also book optional activities such as horseback riding, kayaking, and sunset boat rides.
Travel time: One hour to the various activities
Today, you will drive to Murchison Falls National Park, a protected area that spans over 4,000 square meters. Uganda’s largest national park preserves the authentic African spirit and has a diverse world waiting to be discovered! At the top of the magnificent waterfalls, you will see many animal species, including crocodiles and other mammals, also at the foot of the falls.
If time permits, stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, a reintroduction program that has successfully bred over a dozen white rhinos. It’s the only place in Uganda where you can see them up close!
Murchison Falls National Park is home to 76 mammal species and 451 bird species. Since the Nile River flows through the park, it’s home to numerous Nile crocodiles, hippos, and the Sitatunga antelope. Lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, the Rothschild giraffe, warthogs, the forest hog, Uganda kob, topi, and water buffalo are just a few of the species that you may see. If you have time, hike to the top of the falls’ viewpoint and soak in the mighty Nile River. It narrows under your feet from half a kilometer to just seven meters and plummets 45 meters.
Travel time Jinja - Murchison Falls National Park: about 6-7 hours / approx. 290 km
Two nights at Murchison River Lodge***+ with full board in a Thatched Cottage, Murchison National Park, Uganda

Murchison Falls National Park is known for its fantastic wildlife, such as elephants, antelopes, giraffes, and buffaloes. With a bit of luck, you will see all of these animals!
Are you ready for an unforgettable adventure through the diverse national park? Drive through the typical African savannahs and notice its dry forest, hilly grasslands, and mysterious swamps. In the afternoon, we have an exciting boat trip planned to take you past the large Nile crocodiles that sunbathe on the waterfalls’ banks. With a refreshing drink in hand, enjoy the breathtaking views of the rushing waterfalls, exotic birds, and other animals such as hippos, crocodiles, and bathing elephants!
Please note that your day is flexible. We encourage you to tailor your day with your guide to switch the boat and game drive times.
After breakfast, you will start your drive back to Entebbe. On the way, stop for a leisurely picnic lunch! Your guide will accompany you to your guesthouse in Entebbe, where you will spend your last night in Uganda.
