Your Yangon Circular Train adventure begins before you even board the train. At the station, notice the old colonial-style architecture while you buy your ticket to Hledan station. The trains’ boast an antique and rickety style because they’ve been making their rounds every single day for many years. As you make your way to the city, you will soon realize this is a very authentic experience. The train chugs along the bumpy track and past the stunning landscapes of Myanmar. Immerse yourself in the people’s everyday life at each station, as market workers, fishers, vendors, etc., hop on and off the train. When you arrive in Hdledan, get off and stroll around the vibrant, local market. This sensory journey will take you past the smells of fresh fruit, vegetables, and flowers that are available for purchase. Plunge yourself into the extraordinary atmosphere while the sights, smells, and tastes surround you.

Next on the schedule is a drive to the surreal ruins of Nagar Glass Factory. In 2008, the tropical cyclone, Nargis, blew it to pieces. But somehow, the factory turned into one of the city’s hidden gems. A winding, heavily overgrown path leads you through the remains of the forgotten glass factory. Keep your eyes peeled on the floor because small piles of shimmering glass from colored bottles, bowls, statues, and mirrors—some still intact and others shattered into pieces. What makes this place so special is that you can choose a souvenir from the factory! Everything is up for grabs. So pay attention to the cabinets and hidden treasures underneath the shattered glass—you might find a beautiful piece! The old Burmese lady will check the condition of the glassware before buying it and taking it home. Whatever you choose, it’s one of a kind.

Continue to His So Pyay Garden, nestled between Lake Inya and its self-titled street. The calm, quiet atmosphere places you in a lush garden, where a restaurant and large green fields invite you to relax. Relish the stunning views of the lake and garden accompanied by a replenishing lunch in the restaurant. After an exciting day, you will go back to your hotel on an air-conditioned bus.
