Aboard the Paul Gauguin, you can discover the French Polynesian islands in an intimate atmosphere. If you love the infinite azure sea, then this is the place for you. Since the Tahitian landscape is mainly volcanic rock, the beaches' unique black sand is unlike any destination in the world. Furthermore, a lush rainforest dominates the island's terrain. On the enchanting South Sea islands, celebrate colorful and religious festivals. The humble inhabitants and peace and serenity are what makes this destination so unique.

A warm welcome awaits you at the Papeete harbor, where boarding begins at 15:00. Climb aboard and forget about reality. Around midnight, MS Paul Gauguin will depart northwest towards Huahine. The luxury ship was built especially for the South Seas' shallow waters so that it can easily reach the atolls, small islands, and hidden bays of French Polynesia.

Aboard the ship, the crew speaks English and French. Also, there’s an informal atmosphere on board, although the "Paul Gauguin" is a luxurious ship. A dress code of jackets and long trousers are only applicable when visiting the evening restaurants. The well-trained crew is always available for your every need. Usually, by the second day, they will already address you by your first name and even know your favorite drink!

Seven nights with full board and selected drinks

After a long night of sailing, the cruise will anchor at Huahine in time for breakfast around 08:00. The island consists of two small islets separated by a short fairway. Legend has it that the deity, Hiro, divided the island into two parts with a boat. The "garden island's" lush vegetation enchants many guests with its mystical beauty. During the land excursions, visit the well preserved holy sites of Polynesia. Those interested in a more active day, go snorkeling in one of the island's lagoons and discover the colorful underwater world. If you are hungry, enjoy a relaxing picnic on the beach! The welcoming bar on board is a perfect refuge after an exciting day ashore. The bartenders are always available and will mix you an exotic cocktail or some of the best whiskey in the world.

Around 17:00, you will continue toward Taha'a to Motu Mahana.

In the morning, arrive at Taha'a's private island, Motu Mahana! With a population of 4,500 people, the island is right across from Taha'a and owned by a shipping company. Known as the "Vanilla Island" or "Queen of Vanilla," the bumpy trails will lead you into the jungle where loads of vanilla grows. As different scents fill your nostrils, notice the exotic flowers that blossom all around you. Discover the colorful hibiscus, vanilla tahitensis, jasmine, and Tahitian gardenia or Tiaré flower (the national flower).

Desire a relaxing day on the beach, surrounded by palm trees and the calm ocean breeze? Then we have the perfect day planned for you! Enjoy a delicious beach barbecue lunch, Polynesian music, refreshing cocktails, beer, and fresh coconuts while sunbathing on the sandy beach. Explore the breathtaking underwater world on a snorkeling tour (optional).

Around 17:00, make your way toward Bora Bora.

Wake up in front of the romantic island of Bora Bora. The famous volcanic island rises in the middle of a picturesque turquoise lagoon with views of the extinct volcano, Otemanu. Just like the other islands, we offer onshore excursions! Equipped with a diving helmet, embark on an underwater walk and experience the colorful sea world (optional). Not only are exotic animals found deep under the crystal clear waters, but also ashore the beautiful island!

Try exquisite dishes at the ship's restaurant and let the chef de cuisine spoil you with culinary delights. Savor wines from the best growing regions of the world with classic menus or innovative and exotic meals. As the sun begins to set, notice the sky turning from green to blue and even light purple tints. Enjoy the idyllic sunset on the deck with a sundowner in hand — the perfect time to reminisce on today's adventures.

Tonight you will sail on toward the island of Bora Bora! Wake up in the morning and enjoy a replenishing breakfast complemented by a breathtaking view of the Bora Bora lagoon. Every day, you can savor fresh ingredients, juices, and delicious coffee.

Take advantage of the excellent opportunities the island has to offer! Embark on a diving trip to a black pearl farm, explore the colorful underwater world, or relax on the pristine beaches. On an adventurous off-road tour, you can discover the bumpy interior of the island. Or how about a wellness evening? Discover the cruise's spa oasis and relax with a full body massage tailored to your needs.

Around 17:00, the cruise will set sail toward Moorea, a lush South Sea beauty with spectacular mountains and fantastic beaches.

Around 08:00, MS Paul Gauguin will arrive at the charming island of Moorea! The warm, South Sea sun will greet you in the morning alongside a refreshing breakfast to prepare you for an exciting day.

Moorea, also known as Tahiti's sister island, is known for its South Sea beauty: exotic landscapes, sharp rocks, verdant valleys, pineapple plantations, green mountains, and tropical beaches. For a unique experience, embark on a helicopter ride and see the surrounding islands' beauty from high above. Moorea also offers hikes around the interior of the island or dolphin watching tours!

During your visit, you will have the opportunity to purchase water sports equipment, dolphin watching tours, snorkeling trips, or hiking tours. Please note that these excursions are optional. Take advantage of the water sports marina and get to know the sea on a diving journey. Windsurfing is also available for guests wanting to try something new. Whether you are a beginner or advanced, there is an activity for everyone!

Moorea, the Garden of Polynesia, offers guided hikes where you can experience nature up close! Participate in an optional guided walk and learn about the country and its people. Polynesian culture is extraordinary because the locals live in harmony with nature. It's as if stress doesn't exist.

Around 17:00, you will leave Moorea and head toward Tahiti, which you will reach around 19:30. Tonight will be the last overnight stay on board.

MS Paul Gauguin

The ship’s name is inspired by the French painter Paul Gauguin, who called the South Seas his home until the end of his life. The cruise ship was built to withstand the French Polynesia conditions; therefore, it can sail in local waters without any problems. Because of this unique construction, MS Paul Gauguin can cruise to small atolls and bays. The design of the ship represents its surrounding destinations. It perfectly combines South Sea art, Maori decoration, and modern hotel elements.

With a maximum of 330 guests, the 215 crew members take care of everyone’s well-being aboard the cruise. The facilities include three restaurants, two lounges, and a sun deck with a pool. You also have access to the cruise's beauty and fitness center, library, internet café, boutique, and casino.

All cabins have air conditioning, a TV, safe, minibar, and other amenities. The rooms include a queen-size bed, a bathroom with bathtub or shower, selected care products, hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers, etc. The exclusive Category B and higher cabins also have butler service. Category F has a porthole, category E has a window, and C and D have a balcony. Other categories and prices available upon request.
