The most popular choice amongst guests is to simply enjoy the quiet, timelessness and harmony that are found in the tree and surroundings. A good book, a magical view and stylish accommodation are enough to create the feeling Treehotel is all about.
The seven tree rooms at Treehotel are located in the tall, pine forest with spectacular views of the Lule River, and are suspended 4-6 meters above the ground (accessible by ramp, bridge or electric stairs). Designed by Scandinavia’s best architects, the combination of modern design and the quiet forest environment invites you to quickly feel the luxury of relaxation.
Each individual room is unique - the focus is not only on the exterior, but also on the interior’s special furniture, light effects and materials. Between 16 and 100 sqm, each room is equipped with environmentally friendly compost toilets and water-saving wash basins. The underfloor heating system provides pleasant warmth, there is free Wi-Fi, a small fridge, and a water cooker. Showers are available in the sauna buildings.
The Mirrorcube - ca. 16 m², This exciting hide-out among the trees is camouflaged by mirrored walls that reflect their surroundings. The base consists of an aluminum frame around the tree trunk, and the walls are covered with reflective glass. The interior is made from plywood with a birch surface, the six windows provide a stunning panoramic view and the 12-meter-long bridge leads up to the tree room. The Mirrorcube offers excellent accommodation for two people with a double bed, toilets, lounge and a rooftop terrace.
The Birds Nest - ca.17 m², Built on the contrasts between the outside and inside, the tree room’s exterior is nothing but a gigantic bird’s nest. It gives a camouflage so you quickly disappear and become part of the surroundings. The interior is a familiar and exclusive look, with a spacious environment where a family with two children can comfortably spread out. The walls are clad with wood panels and the windows almost disappear in the exterior’s network of branches. The room has separate bedrooms, toilets, and a living area.
The Blue Cone - 22 m², Based on simplicity and accessibility in terms of material and design, this tree room is a traditional wooden structure with three foundations in the ground to give a sense of height, lightness and stability. Access the room via a bridge from the nearby mountain, and from there you will see the laminated birch wood exterior and timber interior. Well suited for people with disabilities, this room has four beds, a separate sleeping loft, toilets and a living room.
The Cabin - ca. 24 m², The Cabin hangs slightly off-set, under the deck, partly to visually reduce the size and partly to give the tree room its own custom look. The Cabin is like a capsule, a foreign body in the trees that can be reached by crossing the horizontal bridge high above the treetops. The tree room accommodates two people, with a double bed, toilets and a rooftop terrace.
The UFO - ca. 30 m², The room is cast in durable composite material, all to create the lightest yet strong and sustainable design possible. The interior gives the room a modern and comfortable feel. The UFO is built for five people, two adults in a double bed and three children, with separate beds, toilets and a living area.
The Dragonfly - ca. 55m², Unique in many ways, this room can function both as a conference space, and as well as a private suite. The 15-meter-long ramp takes you to the treeroom’s panoramic windows that give you a magnificent view of the valley. It is built out of wood, with an exterior made out of sheet metal that will eventually turn rust-brown and blend in even further with the pine-tree forest. The conference space has one lounge, two group rooms and a conference table with seating for 10. The room has all types of modern conference equipment, Wi-Fi, toilets, shower and air conditioning. If you want to live a private experience in the Dragonfly, this also can be a room for four people, two couples or an entire family.
The Seventh Room - ca. 100 m², The entire underside of the building is covered by a life-sized photograph of the treetops as they looked before the room was put in place. Since the room is located 10 meters up in the pines, the experience on the way up is an experience within itself. As you reach the large, lush, Lapland treetops, with breathtaking views of the Lule River, you have arrived at your destination. Large panoramic windows face north along with skylights in the bedrooms, allowing guests to watch the magnificent northern lights. The patio has a natural pine growing through the net, allowing the branches to spread out to create a new place to climb and relax. The treeroom will accommodate five people, and consists of two separate bedrooms, two double beds, a bed sofa, a lounge, toilets and a bathroom with shower.
Combine your stay at the Treehotel with overnight stays in the cozy rooms of Britta’s Pensionat.
Hidden amongst the majestic trees lies a treehouse sauna - truly an extraordinary experience! The treehouse sauna is in the midst of the old pine trees and can accommodate up to 12 people. If you do not wish to go high, there are two saunas on the floor level that offer a good alternative with showers and toilets. Both are available at an additional cost.
Would you like to get to know nature and the surrounding area? Then take advantage of the wide range of excursions offered by the Treehotel! You can also rent sleighs, skis or snowshoes for a fee.
