Kathmandu - Chitwan National Park - Pokhara - Dhulikhel

The best time to travel to Nepal is the dry season, which means the months before and after the monsoon season. Between October and November and from February to April the rainfall decreases and the temperatures are pleasantly wam (24°-28° Celsius). Pokhara and Chitwan National Park are always slightly warmer than the capital Kathmandu.

Welcome to Southeast Asia! After landing at the Kathmandu International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by your English-speaking guide in the arrivals hall. Together, you will head to your transfer vehicle and depart for your first accommodation, The Dwarika's Hotel, which will be your home for the next three nights.

Located in the heart of bustling downtown Kathmandu, this Nepalese-style, family-run, luxury hotel is a true oasis of tranquility. Built in the style of the majestic Newari palaces, the hotel is home to a magnificent collection of artifacts dating back to the 13th century!

Check into your comfortable room and the rest of the day is at leisure. Use your first day in Nepal to recover from your long journey. Arrive at leisure and relax by the inviting outdoor pool! The cozy four-poster beds around it really leave nothing to be desired. Relax - the next few days hold great adventures for you!

Kathmandu Airport - Kathmandu Hotel trip duration: approx. 10 minutes / approx. 2 km

3-night stay at The Dwarika's Hotel***** with breakfast and 2x lunch in Deluxe Heritage Room, Kathmandu, Nepal

Start today with a true flight of fancy (optional). Enjoy spectacular views of the highest mountains in the world on this 50-minute-long panoramic excursion: Makalu, Lhotse, Gauri Sanker and Langtang are just some of the highlights that await you here. Admire this magnificent panorama and feel free as a bird as you glide past the snow-covered mountain slopes. Afterwards, you will return to your hotel and afterwards you can strengthen yourself at a rich breakfast buffet.

Afterwards, we have organized a guided sightseeing tour for you. You will visit Patan Durbar Square, which is similar to Kathamandu Durbar Square with numerous temples and pagodas. You will stroll to the historic Pantan Museum where you will have a light lunch.

Fortified by your meal, you will continue your sightseeing tour in Boudhanath Stupa, a Buddhist temple complex in the eastern part of Kathmandu. Known as one of the largest stupas in the world, this is the center of the Tibetan community in Nepal. Several monasteries and temples, as well as many restaurants and cafes, line the circular square here. Although the sight is visited every day by numerous praying pilgrims and tourists, you will experience a place of tranquility here. Do you feel this very special atmosphere? You can walk around the stupa and enjoy a great view of the temple from the roof terrace of a café.

You can end the evening comfortably with a cool drink in your hotel.

Enjoy the sumptuous breakfast at the restaurant before hitting the lively streets of Kathmandu. Your first destination is the popular Durbar Square, also known as the historical center of Kathmandu. Over 50 pagodas, numerous temples and a colorful, lively life await you here.

Afterwards, you will stroll through the fragrant spice market at Ason to the historic stupa at Sigha Bahal, from where you will continue your way to Thamel. Wondering what awaits you here? The "Garden of Dreams" is a small, well-kept garden complex in hectic Kathmandu that invites you to linger. Here you can enjoy a moment of tranquility, take a deep breath and let the new impressions sink in over a delicious lunch at The Kaiser Café.

In the afternoon, you will continue your sightseeing tour. With your English-speaking guide, you will visit the stupa of Swayambhunath stupa, which is one of the oldest shrines in the country. But why is this temple complex also called the Monkey Temple? Located on a mountain, the sanctuary was inhabited by a horde of monkeys, which nowadays have even lost their shyness towards humans.

Afterwards, you will return to your hotel.

Today will bring another adventure! After a hearty breakfast at your hotel, you will leave the bustling city of Kathmandu and head to the Chitwan National Park, about six hours away. The panoramic drive goes past majestic mountains and along winding roads. Look forward to great photo opportunities as far as the eye (or your camera lens) can see.

Chitwan National Park is located in the subtropical lowlands of Nepal, the Terai, and has green, untouched plains and virgin forest. Numerous animals such as deer, monkeys, leopards, crocodiles, armored rhinos, elephants and a variety of rare bird species are found here. Also, if you are lucky, you may see the Bengal Tiger in the wild!

During the afternoon, you will reach your accommodation, where a sumptuous lunch will already be waiting for you. Enjoy the local food and rest from the journey. Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to participate in unforgettable jungle activities. Just don't forget to pack your camera - great wildlife encounters await you!
