Sami people are a very open culture that wants to teach visitors the traditions and interesting history. According to Sami tales, Lars Eriksson's seven-generation family lived in the rural Flaka mountain, about 80 kilometers from Harads. Today you will visit Lars, who will be happy to give you more insights into the Sami way of life. After driving many kilometers along the wood-lined road, you will cross an invisible border that takes you from present to past.

In this northern village, you will see that the Sami culture is very hospitable and straightforward. Living in the icy and north corners of Sweden, they must be very dependent on reindeer husbandry. You will be able to check out Lars' herd of reindeer when visiting his home because they graze amongst the pastures year-round. Come closer and pet or feed the trusting animals that play an essential role in Sami history.

In the winter, Lars invites you to his cozy log cabin! In summer, sit around a campfire in a tent and receive a delicious lunch prepared for you by his wife, Annette. The pleasant smell of burning wood and freshly prepared food in a friendly atmosphere you will never forget. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to ask Lars and his family more questions about Sami history. Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, listen to his exciting stories, and take a piece of Sami life home with you in your memories.
