Slowly pass picturesque tiled buildings and drive through Baixa, Bairro, Alto, and Alfama’s historic districts. Since the windows can open wide, your children can even touch the walls when they stretch out their hands.

Don’t miss the chance to see the other numerous family-friendly attractions in the city. The Oceanário de Lisboa is the second largest marine aquarium in the world. It is filled with five million liters of saltwater and is home to about 12,000 sea life. Besides sharks and rays, young and old marine researchers can observe barracudas, tunas, moonfish, and many more.

We also recommend visiting the historical Elevadores (“elevators”). The most famous elevator is the Elevador de Santa Justa, located about 10 minutes from your hotel. With a height of 45 meters, it is hard to overlook and connects a district with the next higher one. Of course, you will be rewarded with a stunning view of the city. The other three elevators look more like trains. The Elevador da Glória takes you to the trendy Bairro Alto district and the Elevador da Lavra is the oldest elevator in Lisbon. If you choose the Elevador da Bica, you can expect an exciting ride with the steepest incline - truly an experience and a blast for the kids.
