Komodo & Rinca Tour

Similarly to Bali, the best time to visit Komodo & Rinca is from May to October. During the rainy season, from November to March, heavy rain showers happen often.

Don’t forget to bring your camera: your short trip to Komodo & Rinca Island tour starts early in the morning. You will fly from Denpasar to Labuan Bajo, the port city at the western end of Flores Island. Upon arrival, you will find your local guide waiting to take you to your hotel.

1 night stay with breakfast in Labuan Bajo, Flores

Today is the day! A local boat will transport you to the day trip where you will see the legendary dragons on Komodo and Rinca (pick up time around 05:00, 05:30 a.m.).

First you will drive to Rinca, a small island near Komodo. Besides the huge lizards, you can also find wild boars, buffalos, wild horses and a variety of birds here. Walk along the coast and admire the animals in their natural environment.

While you have lunch on the boat, you will continue your journey to Komodo. Once on the island, you will take a short hike to the Banung Gulung Ranger Station, a riverbed where monitor lizards used to feed on goat meat.

Before leaving the UNESCO World Heritage Site, you will have the opportunity to go swimming at Pink Beach. The water in this pristine bay is crystal clear and the underwater world, rich with a multitude of corals, will take your breath away.

In the afternoon, you will return to Labuan Bajo by boat. You will have a tasty dinner in a local restaurant. Afterwards, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
