Hardly any other part of this earth stands for romance as much as the islands of French Polynesia. On this wedding and honeymoon trip, you can say "I do" barefoot on the beach and then honeymoon between white sandy beaches and sapphire blue lagoons on Bora Bora and its neighboring islands of Tahiti and Taha'a.

The best travel season for French Polynesia is from April to October. Then the thermometer rises to about 29°C during the day, and at night the temperatures are a pleasant 23°C. Between November and March it is comparatively humid. Temperatures climb up to 32°C during the day and cool down to about 22°C at night. Between January and March there is also a risk of cyclones hitting the islands.

Many claim that Moorea has the sweetest pineapple in the world, which is how the island got its nickname of "Pineapple Island". Moorea has even more to offer in terms of landscape, of course. Numerous waterfalls, small river courses and tropical plants make the Polynesian island a true ecological treasure. The green peaks of the island offer a wonderful view of the two lagoons from above. Whether on foot or high up from the air - you should definitely explore the island in more detail.

1 night stay with breakfast included in Moorea, French Polynesia

Today is your big day. A private transfer will pick you up at your hotel and take you to the Haapiti Town Hall in the southwest of the island - one of the most beautiful and authentic regions of Moorea. Here, your wedding planner will already be waiting for you with a bouquet especially created for the bride and a flower pin for the groom. The wedding ceremony will take place in the traditional wedding room of the town hall in French. If desired, a translator will translate the mayor's words into English for you. This will be followed by an entry in your family book. After the registry office, the driver will take you back to the hotel, where a small surprise awaits you in your hotel room. Your wedding planner will take care of the certification of your wedding documents in Papeete. We will send them to you before your departure. In case the papers are not ready in time, we will send them to you free of charge by express to your home country.

After your civil ceremony yesterday, today your wedding ceremony will take place at Maiau Beach Garden beach, a small private island also called Motu. Upon arrival via a traditional jetty boat, you will be greeted by guitar and ukulele sounds. With a coconut drink in hand, you walk along a path decorated with palm trees to the altar, where the priest is already waiting for you. During the wedding ceremony, you will exchange tropical flower necklaces and crowns, which represent harmony. Your hands are dripped with coconut water and wrapped with a Polynesian fabric symbolizing your union as vahine & tane, woman & man. Often the bride and groom are also given Tahitian names as a reminder of their Polynesian wedding. Afterwards, the priest presents you with your Polynesian marriage certificate made of tapa, a bark raffia. During the ceremony, songs are sung and music is played, as well as dances performed by the Polynesian wedding group. At the end of the ceremony, you will toast your marriage with a glass of champagne.
