With your guide, you will admire the Nine Arches Bridge, a historic bridge from the British colonial era. Afterward, go on a short hike to Little Adam's Peak, where you can relish a unique 360-degree view of the summit.
Don’t let its name mislead you: at 1,141 meters high, Little Adam’s Peak is by no means small. Instead, its name derives from its big brother, Adam’s Peak.
In contrast to the “big” Adam’s Peak, a Little Adam’s Peak hike is doable for almost every traveler. After a 30-minute hike, a 360-degree view of Ella’s green highlands rewards you.
The second highlight of your half-day excursion is a tuk-tuk ride to the Nine Arches Bridge. The gigantic construction for its time, built only from stone and mortar, is approximately 90 meters long and impresses with its stunning location in the middle of green jungle and tea fields.
The bridge alone is worth seeing, but the real highlight is the old trains with vintage flair, which cross the bridge several times a day. It gives the scenery a unique atmosphere you can only see here.
If the schedule allows, your guide will gladly take a souvenir photo of you on the parapet while the train slowly crosses the old aqueduct.
