Time spent traveling from the airport to Amman: approx. 45 minutes / 50 km

2 nights at the Amman International Hotel**** with breakfast in a Premium Twin Room, Amman, Jordan

The capital of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan holds great cultural treasures. The origins of Amman go back to the Old Testament city of Rabbah, whose inhabitants called themselves Rabbat-Ammon. Historical figures such as Alexander the Great left their mark here. The Romans had an enormous influence on the region - Amman played a central role as one of the Decapolis cities. A city tour including a visit to the Roman Theater and the Temple of Artemis is highly recommended.

Another experience that should not be missing in your itinerary is a trip to the desert castles east of the city. The buildings, inconspicuous from the outside, hold a few surprises inside.

In the morning, you will start your journey south, passing Madaba on your way along the Royal Road. St. George's Church is an attraction for history lovers, as it houses the oldest map of the Holy Land. On a mosaic in the floor of the church are the places that were the most important at the time of its construction in the 6th century.

At the medieval Crusader castle in Kerak, let your imagination run wild and be transported back to the time of the Crusades. While the children play in the castle courtyard, you will learn all about the life of the people in the region in the Middle Ages.

In the afternoon, you are going to reach your destination for the day on the edge of the Dana Biosphere Reserve. A breathtaking view awaits you!

Time spent traveling from Amman to Dana: approx. 3 hours / 200 km

1 night at Dana Guesthouse*** with breakfast included in a Deluxe Room, Wadi Dana, Jordan

The road from Dana to Petra is not far and you can spend the day in many ways. Nature lovers take a hike in the vastness of the Dana Biosphere Reserve and explore the ruins of a local village. The nature reserve is home to numerous endemic animal and plant species, which present an impressive spectacle to the attentive onlooker. However, predators like the desert fox or the striped hyena are very shy and therefore no danger for hikers.

For those who want to learn more about the history of the country, a stop in Little Petra is worthwhile. The suburb of the famous settlement of Petra was once a Bedouin trading post and many of the cave dwellings are well preserved to this day.

Time spent traveling from Dana to Petra: approx. 60 minutes / 55 km

2 nights at the Mövenpick Resort Petra***** with breakfast in Family Room, Petra, Jordan.

The most popular tourist attraction is undoubtedly the capital of the Nabatean kingdom, Petra. Besides the impressive Khazne al-Firaun, the Pharaoh's treasure house, explore the numerous caves and the long valley. The former junction on the Incense Road between the east and the west has preserved much of its former prosperity to this day. The entire valley is one huge museum where history comes to life.

A special treat for the little ones: a camel ride through the valley, especially on the way back to the hotel.

Your desert adventure awaits you! On the way from Petra to the desert camp in Wadi Rum, you can already see the vast plains and the rugged rocky hills from afar. The Wadi Rum Protected Area is on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2011 and offers adventurers from all over the world the best conditions for extreme sports, relaxation and exciting experiences in nature. On an extensive balloon ride, you will get to know the unique natural landscape from a different perspective than on a camel trekking or a jeep safari.

Time spent traveling from Petra to Wadi Rum: approx. 2 hours / 135 km

1 night in Sun City Camp*** in a standard tent with private a bathroom and half board, Wadi Rum, Jordan

After so much adventure in the desert, a little relaxation is going to do you some good today. Jordan has a narrow strip of land on the Red Sea, where numerous first-class seaside hotels are located. The bathing region is particularly popular with families because of the wide range of activities available. Divers and water sports enthusiasts get their money's worth here, while those seeking peace and quiet spend time on the beach or in the hotel's wellness area. Age-appropriate workshops and excursions, by mountain bike or speedboat for example, are available.

Time spent traveling from Wadi Rum to Aqaba: approx. 50 minutes / 65 km

3 nights at the Mövenpick Resort Resort Tala Bay***** with breakfast in a Family Superior Room, Aqaba, Jordan.

There are countless photos of people floating on the surface of the water and reading the newspaper. Today you yourself have the opportunity to shoot these photos for the family album. The Dead Sea bears its name due to the very high salt content, which makes life underwater almost impossible. On the other hand, the mud is said to have healing properties, which is why it is often used in cosmetics.

Time spent traveling from Aqaba to Dead Sea: approx. 3.5 hours / 270 km

1 night in Mövenpick Resort & Spa Dead Sea***** with breakfast in Family Superior Room, Aqaba, Jordan

Your trip comes to an end today. After a short drive, you will reach the Amman airport, where you will drop off your rental car. If you skipped Madaba as a stop at the beginning of your trip, today is another opportunity. A route from the hotel to the airport will take you past the small town and St. George's Church.
